Observational and self-expressive art in painting and drawing is the main focus of this class. Students will begin to develop a visual arts vocabulary, become more aware of their surroundings, and learn to see the world through an artist’s eyes. Subjects covered include still-life, nature, self-portrait, and the figure.

Basic art supplies are needed: pencils and erasers, white copy paper (letter or legal size), acrylic paint and colored pencils in primary colors, paint brushes and mixing containers, scotch tape, and scissors.

Masks must be worn at all times on campus and during classes; temperature checks are required before entering class/open studio. 

All students must read and sign the health policy & waiver to attend Session 2 on-campus classes.
