Fundamentals for All Levels in the Practical Arts
Are you interested in drawing, painting, mixed media or preliminary work to creating sculpture? This interactive course is useful to beginners and advanced attendees alike…students are welcome to propose weekly topics. The main objective is to provide key concepts, processes and practical advice in ALL the art disciplines. Weekly sessions will be divided into two parts. The first will be an introduction from the teacher on the topic of the week and the rest of the time, students can choose between the topic or to work independently on their own projects with the guidance of the teacher. Weekly topics will vary from proper pencil holding and posture, knowledge of materials, understanding 3D forms and honing skills to draw and paint in 3D, composition, fundamentals of color, to understanding and finding your style (i.e. realism, abstract, etc.) All levels and media are welcome!
Masks must be worn at all times on campus and during classes; temperature checks are required before entering class/open studio.

Nuné Asatryan was born in Armenia where she discovered her passion for art at an early age from a family of artists. She has become internationally known for her unusual artwork, conceptual designs, delicate murals, and bold statements. Her international experience has cultivated and exposed her to different cultures and she has created and exhibited in many countries. Art critics describe her art as a “provocative” and “intriguing” with elements of surrealism, photorealism, and hyperrealism. Nuné is exhibiting and selling her work at prestigious galleries and museums internationally. Nuné received her degree from the Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia.
