Hand Building 101 (Virtual)
Learn basic pinch, slab, and coil construction methods as well as the use of molds. Decorative treatments that will be taught include stamps, slips, and stains. Students will also learn how to glaze and finish their pots using high-fire glazing techniques. No previous clay experience is required.
Please note that this is a virtual class and will be held using Zoom. An instructional welcome email will be sent to you prior to the first day of class. This class meets twice per week.

Bill Buchanan received his BFA from University of Montevallo and a Master’s in Art Education from Florida International University. He is a retired National Board Certified teacher and a 10 year Visual Arts teaching alumni of Bak Middle School of the Arts. Bill is a practicing studio artist, working in a variety of media including fired clay, photography, assemblage, and painting.
