Life in the Still Life
Develop and improve your observational skills in this class by painting still life works. In addition, students will learn the importance of value studies and color theory to create dynamic paintings. Participants will learn how to make effective compositions when designing a still life set up. Students may work in acrylic or oil.
Masks must be worn at all times on campus and during classes; temperature checks are required before entering class/open studio.

Nancy Tart earned her BS in Studio Art from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY, and her master’s in Art Education from Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI. She paints outdoors at many locations around Palm Beach County. Nancy spends many days painting at Grassy Waters Preserve and DuBois Park. Over the past several summers, Nancy has enjoyed painting in Maine around the Freeport and Rockland areas. She has shown her work in the Northeast and in Florida at The Society of the Four Arts, the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the Cornell Museum, and the Armory Art Center, where she is an adjunct instructor.
