Photographing Your Art: 2-D Art
This is a 2-day workshop, taking place on Saturday, February 20th and Saturday, February 27th.
A two-part workshop for 2-D artists. In this class the artist will learn the basics of photographing and retouching their art for gallery presentations, social media, and POP 4 color printed documents. We will cover both smartphone and DLSR photography. Each student will bring one piece of 2-d artwork to be photographed. *No artwork framed with glass.
Students are required to bring a laptop computer with Adobe Photoshop CC installed and running; they can sign up for a free 30-day trial at Adobe.com (make sure to select the correct version for your computer, either Mac or PC); also bring a mouse and mousepad.
CLASS WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE MEDIA ROOM (MAIN BUILDING)
Masks must be worn at all times on campus and during classes; temperature checks are required before entering class/open studio.

Barry Schein is an award winning commercial photographer and educator. During his career he has created photography for many nationally branded Fortune 500 companies and their advertising agencies. He’s a recipient of an EMMY award for his work at NBC TV in New York as well as an Eastman Kodak Professional Photographers award. Both Nikon and the international journal Graphis have recognized his work. Mr. Schein’s work is in a number of private collections
