Jennifer Kaplan earned their MFA from the University of Notre Dame and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a concentration in ceramics. They have taught a variety of ceramic courses ranging from glaze chemistry, wheel throwing and altering, urban gardening, and workshops for adults and young people.

As an art-science-activist, Jennifer believes in nurturing relationships between human and nonhuman living organisms. Their work can be found throughout the states, and they have attended interdisciplinary residencies in Wisconsin and Michigan.
