Deborah Adornato is from Atlanta where she has worked as a studio potter for over 30 years. Her education in ceramics includes the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, Penland School, and a 2 year apprenticeship at Wildcat Creek Potter in N C. After establishing her studio, Atlanta Street Potter in Roswell, GA., she was instrumental in designing a clay program for the city. She has been an instructor at both Roswell Clay West and in her own studio for over 20 years. Deborah’s pots are primarily wheel thrown and reflect her passion for craftsmanship and a love of surface design and texture. Her current work, porcelain and stoneware fired in reduction and soda atmospheres, contain images relating to birds and migration.
