West Palm Beach Arts Festival at the Armory Art Center presented by PNC Arts Alive is a Must-Attend Event!
WEST PALM BEACH, November 11, 2016. The First Annual West Palm Beach Arts Festival at the Armory Art Center presented by PNC Arts Alive is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3rd and 4th, from 10 p.m. – 5 p.m., and is poised to be one of West Palm’s most exciting events of the season.
“With 158 artists from around the country applying to this juried festival, the exhibitors chosen offer great variety so the festival can serve a wide-range of tastes from youth to sophisticated art buyers,” said Liza Niles, Chief of Education and Exhibitions at the Armory and Festival judge.
The Festival presents music, demonstrations, and food trucks. Featured performers include the Roaring Kelly Band, Orchid City Brass Band, Psychic Ghost, Les Nuages with Frank Cerabino, and PB State College Jazz Quintet, Quartet, & Sextet. From 5:30-7:00 p.m. Bak Middle School of the Arts will perform their chamber concert and Holiday Gala on Saturday in Montgomery Hall.
Art demonstrations will be presented and Armory Art School instructors will run a Kid’s Zone for children from ages 5 to 10 to create holiday crafts while their parents are shopping for holiday gifts of unique art. Parking will be available at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts with a shuttle running to and from the Armory.
“This is an ideal family weekend to enjoy quality art and music with perfect timing for holiday shopping!” said Armory Executive Director Dr. Tom Pearson.
West Palm Beach Arts Festival T-shirts and a limited edition commemorative poster will be available at the guest services booth.
“The Armory is proud to be the recipient of the PNC Arts Alive grant. PNC’s commitment to the arts helps our community to be a cultural destination for tourists and locals alike,” noted Ellen Vaughan, Chief of Development at the Armory Art Center. The generous support of the West Palm Beach Arts Festival by our media sponsors will ensure that this is a well-attended event. Media sponsors include The Palm Beach Post, Legend’s 100.3 FM, Jupiter Magazine, The Palm Beacher, WXEL South Florida PBS, WLRN public radio, and Palms West Monthly. The Armory is also grateful for the ongoing support of Ford Harrison, the Board of County Commissioners, the Tourist Development Council, and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
