ART THROWDOWN
Artistry 2026
The Amory’s ART THROWDOWN is Iron Chef but for artists and guests. This event is part performance, part art sale, and it will be Palm Beach’s liveliest fun-raising party events of the year. Guests will mix and mingle while enjoying the Throwdown competition and our faculty and student art exhibition and sale. The action and artwork will inspire you and if you aren’t already, turn you into an art collector or creator. Like any great party, there will be sips, music and bites.
The night’s main event is the ART THROWDOWN in which four artists go head-to-head challenging them to produce creative and compelling artwork within a strict 90-minute challenge. The competition involves a shared supply table, and a “mystery box” of unusual materials, forcing artists to be resourceful and innovative. The audience will mingle and watch the artists at work and participate by voting for the winner by applause before evening’s end. The winner will be recognized, and all throwdown artworks will then be auctioned off. Proceeds from this event will support the Armory Art Center. Sales from the art exhibition will be shared with the artists. The winning THROWDOWN artist will receive a solo exhibition in our gallery. This is a fun and lively way to support your community arts! ART EXHIBITION + SALE + AUCTION
EXHIBITION
Our Faculty and Student Artists works of art will be on display in our galleries. This exhibition is the heART and soul of the Armory. If you are a collector, a creative or just love art then this exhibit is sure to excite you. The proceeds are shared between the artist and the Armory.
AUCTION
After the Throwdown, the winner is selected and all the artworks go up for live auction. There is also a silent auction sure to peek your interest. Grab your friends, family, gal pals and come out and support the arts!
