Join the Armory Art Center as it hosts the incredible talent of Columbian Visual Artist Hermes Hermes Berrío!
Life or Something Like It explores the fluid boundaries between reality and perception, memory and reinvention. Berrio’s work brings forth an expansive exploration of identity and transformation, elevating everyday moments into monumental narratives. Through painting, and mixed media, he blends the mundane with the extraordinary, inviting viewers to reconsider how personal history, cultural symbolism, and imagination intersect. Berrio draws from street culture, social media symbolism, and personal history to examine the ways we construct identity through memory and material culture. Life or Something Like It is an invitation to reflect on the transient nature of experience, how we navigate, adapt, and transform the symbols that shape our lives.

Venue
The Armory Art Center campus facilities include three buildings dedicated to art classes, a sculpture garden, and an interior tented courtyard.
The Armory Art Center provides art classes for students of all ages, exhibitions, art salons, lectures, and special events. Nearly 100 courses held in 12 state-of-the-art studios are offered including
- ceramics, photography & digital media, drawing, jewelry, painting, printmaking, textiles & fiber, and sculpture.
- Youth art classes and summer art camps are offered.
- Various exhibitions are hosted throughout the year in three galleries.
- The campus, located at 811 Park Place, West Palm Beach, at the south end of Howard Park, includes three buildings—the two former Palm Beach County National Guard Armory buildings and the Young Artists Studio Facility.
