2023-24 Artist-in-Residence Program Overview
The Armory Art Center invites artists to apply to the upcoming Artist-in-Residence Program. This highly competitive program attracts a diverse group of emerging artists within varied disciplines who have earned at least a BFA (but MFA preferred). An artist-in-residence is responsible for teaching classes to our diverse student/community, where they have the opportunity to refine their skills by teaching workshops and eight-week classes. They also participate in special events.
The Armory Art Center provides a studio space that offers freedom to develop their work. An artist-in-residence is required to exhibit work created during the residency. Residents are compensated for teaching and receive a generous monthly stipend for departmental assistance and participation in extracurricular events in the community.
Residency Period: August 27, 2023 – May 25, 2024
