Oxbridge Academy Partnership Program
April 2017, January 2020
The scope of the ten-hour course at the Armory is to introduce Oxbridge teen students to the new and challenging discipline of steel sculpture and welding, and to become acquainted with the Armory’s youth programming. Students were given a theme and transferred their two dimensional drawings into a three dimensional sculpture. Students learned some vocational trades such as welding, cut out metal, and shaping steel. The Armory and Oxbridge instructors emphasized safety, creativity, and following instructions.
