A new international art jewelry exhibit, Matter of Form, will open at the Armory Art Center on January 25, 2023.
The exhibit will showcase exemplary art jewelry designs by over 30 artists from around the globe. The jewelry uses traditional and uncommon materials in new and creative ways and will be on display at the Armory Art Center East Gallery through Sunday, January 29, 2023.
The Armory Art Center has organized Matter of Form, along with jewelry & metalsmithing manager, Alicia Jane Boswell, AdornAxis, a New York-based partnership between prolific art jewelers Ayala Naphtali and Debra Adelson has curated the event. After artists applied to an open call to artists, participating artists were selected through a jury process.
“We look forward to showcasing these uniquely-designed pieces by artists representing 15 countries,” said John Suau, the art center’s CEO. “This international art jewelry exhibit is a great way for the community to learn about art jewelry and the talented artists featured in the exhibit.”
The Armory Art Center will host a reception for the exhibition on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. https://armoryart.org/?s=jewelry+exhibit
