Art Encounters: Botanical Life in Monotypes with Isabel Gouveia
Art Encounters are a series of one-session workshops that offer inspiring, hands-on introductions to a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and creative processes for people of all experience levels. This 3–hour workshop is $85, and all supplies are included!
Discover the magic of monotype printmaking in this fun, beginner-friendly workshop with Isabel Gouveia. Using ink, a smooth printing plate, and a variety of materials: including paper, textured objects, and botanical elements, you’ll create one-of-a-kind prints through layering, experimentation, and play. Each print is unique, and you’ll also explore how the faint “ghost” image left behind can become the starting point for an entirely new work of art.
Whether you prefer abstract compositions or representational imagery, this workshop encourages creativity, exploration, and surprise. No printmaking experience is necessary. Just bring your curiosity and enjoy the process of making beautiful, expressive prints.
Please note: if this workshop has not met its minimum by THREE DAYS PRIOR TO START DATE it risks being canceled. Please register promptly to ensure the workshop runs. Thank you!
