Art Encounters: Stained Glass
Art Encounters is a series of one-session workshops that offer inspiring, hands-on introductions to a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and creative processes for people of all experience levels.
Explore the timeless beauty of stained glass in this hands-on introductory workshop with instructor Juan Giraldo. Learn the fundamentals of stained glass design while creating your own small decorative piece. Participants will be guided through the process of selecting glass, cutting, shaping, foiling, and assembling their design using traditional techniques.
Along the way, you’ll gain an appreciation for the craftsmanship and artistry behind this vibrant medium. Perfect for beginners, this one-session workshop offers a creative introduction to stained glass and a beautiful handmade piece to take home.

The Armory Art Center campus facilities include three buildings dedicated to art classes, a sculpture garden, and an interior tented courtyard.
The Armory Art Center provides art classes for students of all ages, exhibitions, art salons, lectures, and special events. Nearly 100 courses held in 12 state-of-the-art studios are offered including
- ceramics, photography & digital media, drawing, jewelry, painting, printmaking, textiles & fiber, and sculpture.
- Youth art classes and summer art camps are offered.
- Various exhibitions are hosted throughout the year in three galleries.
- The campus, located at 811 Park Place, West Palm Beach, at the south end of Howard Park, includes three buildings—the two former Palm Beach County National Guard Armory buildings and the Young Artists Studio Facility.
